The Pilgrimage to the End
A downloadable poem
Introduction
This set of visceral verse was inspired by and submitted to The Nameless Scriptures Lore Jam to elicit the depth of despair and fruitless frustration of existing in the Dying World, and to offer players and GMs material to let their imaginations expand the concepts in their own MÖRK BORG (or other dark fantasy) games.
It speaks of a seemingly endless caravan of pilgrims, walking the lands forever. They are quick to convert anyone they discover . . . one way or another.
“MÖRK BORG is a pitch-black apocalyptic fantasy RPG about lost souls and fools seeking redemption, forgiveness or the last remaining riches in a bleak and dying world. MÖRK BORG is a complete game in the OSR genre, that can be played as is or be picked apart for use in your own homebrew. The rules are easily made compatible with most of the editions of the world’s largest role-playing game”
Content Warning:
The content herein alludes to extreme violence, religious intolerance, cannibalism, and necrophilia. Please be aware that some of these concepts might disturb players, even in a dark game. Be sure to account for this with safety tools and consent of all players involved for the best experience.
