The Goblin's Basement

A mischievous dungeon for any game's adventures - specially created for the Gregarious Goblin Gift Exchange Game Jam 2023!

The following is an agnostic dungeon crawl based on the Gregarious Goblin Gift Exchange. Following one of the given story hooks (or one of your own) as a party of adventurers are seeking to recover and return a number of hidden gifts that dwell in the storage area of this goblinesque fun house. A total of eight (8) boxes are visually represented on the map, but sufficient places exist to add additional “hidden” ones to suit your adventuring needs. This basement dungeon includes multiple puzzles and traps as obstacles to retrieving the gifts. Once the characters gather all the intended gifts, they can make their way back above ground.

What will you find in the basement of the GGGE Headquarters anyway?

1. The cobweb encrusted, dark entrance - welcome to the basement
2. Candle-lit place settings - we you expected?
3. A watery cove in the flooded corner - now with aquatic pet
4. Endless corridor of crates, boxes, and barrels - take a look
5. An all-seeing wall - ready to be your friend
6. The red shards of agony - they don't sound pleasant
7. Enormous piles of treasure - certainly not a trap
8. The witch's circle - can you figure it out?
9. The pedestal room - try to outwit the guards
10. The play room - you might never leave
11. The nursery - adorable vegetation brought from the deepest forest
12. The dance floor - bust a move so it doesn't bust your face
